The Constitution

"We are all in this together (The Constitution)". The song was originally written to commemorate the signing of The Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. I performed the song for the first time publicly in 2010 at Cumberland Furnace, Tn. for The Constitution Day celebration on Sept. 18. (A very hot day).  Along with a wonderful bunch of friends/musicians, we performed 'All Patriotic Songs' in keeping with  the spirit of the day. Admittedly, we were only a small part of the celebration, but it's wonderful to know that people do still celebrate such an important day.

On September 17, 2011, we gathered again to celebrate The Constitution Day. This time the celebration was at the Montgomery Bell State Park Pavilion in Burns, Tn.  Again we sang all patriotic songs along with "We are all in this together (The Constitution). Special speaker for the occassion was State Senator Jim Summerville.

And just as soon as the celebration was over, we immediately went from there to Erin, Tn. to play on the square for an antique car show (sponsored by Paul's Pizza, the best pizza around.) where we played the song yet again. It was a very long, but wonderful day.

We called ourselves 'Kathy & The 3 Jims' until our drummer passed away from cancer in Jan 2012. (We love & miss you so much, Jimmy.) After that we decided to change our name to 'Kats & Jammers'.
